I’m 27. I was born in Ely, Nevada. Tattooing aside, I enjoy video games, movies, skateboarding, and Ping-Pong. Other art mediums I derive joy from are painting (watercolor and acrylic) and sculpture (chainsaw carving and concrete fondue). I’ve been tattooing seven years, and began (self-taught) while attending the University of Montana. After graduating with a degree in fine arts, I moved to Roseville and began learning the skills and art of tattooing from the other artists here at Wild Bill’s. My favorite tattooist is Guy Aitchison because of his depth of design, richness of color, and his spiritual subject matter. Another favorite is Jon Clue because of his contrast between geometric pattern and the organic world of insects and reptiles, while also managing to incorporate rich variations in color, value, and design. My favorite style of tattooing is funky new skool with lots of color, as well as photo realistic done in black and grey. I also enjoy cover-ups (especially names) and original tribal designs of all styles. My advice to someone thinking about getting their first tattoo would be to go big; little tattoos are silly. Having a good idea of what is going to fit who you are is really important for a great tattoo. I like to draw everything, so if you bring me your thoughts I’ll give you art in an amazing tattoo.
