My name is Kristal and I am a Tattoo Artist from the East Bay Area. I have been tattooing at Wild Bills since 2007. I have always been inspired by many different forms of art. At age seven, I started studying under a professional oil painter by the name of Tom Anderson, in the ten years that I studied with him I learned many different techniques that I still practice today. Since then I have branched out into many different art mediums. A tattoo artist by the name of Nikkos Martinez was very instrumental in helping me with tattooing techniques. I have been inspired by many artists in the industry like Joshua Carlton, Harley Haslem, Nikko Hurtado, Guy Aitchison and many more. I enjoy tattooing art that embraces movement and flow. Black and grey pieces are always great for depth, detail and simplicity. Color pieces bring me back to my oil painting techniques which I always enjoy. I also love taking a painting and turning it into a tattoo. Flowers have such depth and flow so that always makes them fun to tattoo. I love tattooing photo realistic pieces. Tattooing is definitely a passion of mine and I always want to strive to learn and do my best. I make every effort to give clients more than what they expect. Being able to tattoo has brought so much into my life and I am so grateful to be constantly surrounded by other artists. I look forward to being inspired by new ideas and clients. When not tattooing, I am spending time with my family; I have been married since 2000 to a wonderful man and have two girls (who seem to be growing up way too fast!).
