These safety tips should always be followed when riding your mini chopper or
mini bike.
1. Avoid roadways, paths, or other areas that are used by motor vehicles.
2. Wear approved safety gear at all times. Gear includes a helmet, knee and
elbow pads and no open toed shoes.
3. Avoid large hills. You could overheat the engine, causing possible
damage.
4. Avoid riding your mini chopper or mini bike over rough or uneven
surfaces.
5. Never ride with more than one person on your mini chopper or mini bike .
6. Never ride your mini chopper or mini bike after dark without lights.
7. Before each use, give your mini chopper or mini bike thorough inspection.
Make sure that there are no loose or missing parts. Check that the brakes
are working properly.
8. Don't ride in wet or icy conditions.
9. You're not Evil Kevil, don't try stunts or any type of trick riding on
your mini chopper or mini bike.
10. PAY ATTENTION! Always be aware of your surroundings and keep your bike
in control at all times.
11. Never hold your pets leash as you ride. Never tie your pets leash to
your handlebars or any other part of your mini chopper or mini bike as you
ride.
Warnings:
* Mini choppers and mini bikes are wheeled vehicles. Like bicycling,
skateboarding, and in-line skating, riding one can be dangerous. Serious
injury or even death can result from the use or misuse of a mini chopper or
mini bike.
* Always wear your ANSI or Snell approved helmet when you ride. Keep the
chinstrap securely buckled at all times. Failure to do so may result in
serious injury or death.
* DO NOT ride in wet or slippery conditions. The risk of having an accident
is dramatically increased in wet conditions.
* Riding at dusk, after dark, or at times of poor visibility is dangerous
even with a headlight. Mini choppers or mini bikes are small and can be
difficult for cars or other vehicles to see.
Get a helmet! It's a small price to pay to avoid serious injury. Most locals
require you to wear a helmet when riding your mini chopper or mini bike.
It's just good common sense.
Supervise children when riding a mini chopper or mini bike.
A third of all injuries and accidents related to mini choppers, pocket bikes
and gas scooters involve children under the age of eight. These bikes have
some serious get-up-and-go, and young children do not always have the good
judgment or coordination to handle these high speeds.
Ride only in safe areas.
Cars and other vehicles don't mix well with mini choppers or mini bikes,
especially with a younger rider behind the handlebars. Smooth, open areas
like school yards are the best places to ride your bike. If your mini
chopper or mini bike is ridden on sidewalks, watch for pedestrians, they
ALWAYS have the right of way.
Always follow your local traffic laws.
Stop at every stop sign. Look left, right, and left
again before proceeding.
Stop at the end of the driveway. Look left, right, and
left before entering the street.
Use proper hand signals.
Obey traffic signs and signals.
Do not ride at night.
